Thymosin Alpha-1 (Tα1) is a 28-amino-acid peptide first isolated from calf thymus in the 1970s, functioning as a true immune modulator — enhancing under-active immune responses while helping prevent overactivation, rather than simply "boosting" immunity broadly.

More recently, it's been studied as a critical-illness adjunct — the TESTS trial, a multicenter Phase 3 study of over 1,100 sepsis patients, is the largest randomized controlled trial of the compound to date.
An important distinction: Thymosin Alpha-1 is not FDA-approved in the United States, and in 2023 the FDA placed additional restrictions on its compounding status here. Its approved international indications (hepatitis B, cancer adjunct) are different from the general immune-wellness use offered through this program.
